The Premiere Distance Education Quality Recognition Process for Academic Institutions

Help ensure everyone knows your distance education program meets rigid instructional design and delivery standards by obtaining Quality Course Recognition.

QCR IS Not a simple “yes or no” course review - The QCR is an iterative approach in which professional course reviewers conduct a complete review, present the schools with a list of deficiencies if any, provide suggestions of good practice to remedy the deficiencies, then conduct a second iteration of the review after the enhancements are made.  The QCR is about more than a seal of approval, it is an quality improvement process.

A strong, tried and true self study process - The QCR program is a detailed self study process in which the school provides documentation of the level of quality of a course.  Since this process is modeled after the self study process used by regional accrediting bodies, they are more accustomed to interpreting the results of this approach to course review.

QCR provides an archive of course improvements for accreditation purposes - The QCR program not only provides a review of the course, but it also archives all activity which occurred during this course review through the QCR Course Review Management System.  This archive of activity is a valuable asset when a program is being considered for regional accreditation or renewal.  Through using the QCR Course Review Management System schools will be able to demonstrate and document the iterative process they underwent to ensure quality in the distance learning course.
